Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the international break, but can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
